BIRKEY'S PERSONNEL CHANGES IN MATTOON
As always, we are changing our operation
in Mattoon to best serve our customers’ needs. It has
been a busy year, which is driving the following improvements
at our Mattoon facility. With the increase in our parts business
(due in part to the addition of the Jacobsen line and the development
of Birkey’s Golf and Turf Equipment Division), we are
bringing in Bryan Dunn as Parts Department
Manager. Along with this change Jeff Pforr
will become our Outside Parts Sales Representative. Bryan brings
experience from our Urbana facility and Jeff will be bringing
his years of experience in Mattoon to you.
The sales department traffic continues to
increase allowing us to bring Rick Bennett
to our Equipment Sales Department. Rick has been on board in
the equipment sales department for a couple of months and has
already met many of our customers. Rick will be spending much
of his time in the field, to help customers with their equipment
needs. |
Bryan Dunn, Parts Manager
Experience:
Bryan has 6 years of parts dept. service at Birkey’s
in Urbana, IL. My background also includes working around
heavy/mining equipment and farm machinery.
Interesting Facts:
In my spare time I enjoy playing & restoring old guitars
and wrenching on old Harley’s.
Family:
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Aimee, and stepson Collin
(age 7). I grew up with 3 brothers, our mother and an extremely
inventive & mechanical father.

Jeff Pforr, Outside Parts Sales
Experience:
Jeff has 28 years of experience in the parts dept. I started
Aug. 15, 1978 in parts and have been here
ever since.
Interesting Facts:
In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time
with my family.
Family:
I’ve been married to my wife, Laurie, for 26 years and
have two children, Clayton (19) and Kendra (15). I also have
two labs and three cats.

Rick Bennett, Sales
Experience:
Rick has been with Birkey’s for 2 months. Spent 15 years
as Park Supt. with the City of Sullivan, and a landscaping /
mowing business with his son who has taken it over.
Interesting Facts:
I enjoy all sports, especially Illinois basketball & football.
I also enjoy hunting, riding my motorcycle & four-wheeler,
and spending time with my family.
Family:
I’ve been married to my wife, Patty, for 32 years. We
have two children, Carrie (29) and Craig (25). Both are married
and we have a granddaughter, Ashlyn (4). |
